The California Assembly has passed SB 1437; this bill which seeks to add sexual orientation as a “protected class” in an anti-discrimination bill thereby opening the door for court decisions that could legalize gay marriage—using the equal protection amendment of the U. S. Constitution.   Before recent amendments scaling back the mandates, the bill would have also changed public school curriculum to make history and social science instruction more like propaganda.  SB 1437 also further undermines parents’ rights and responsibilities to educate their children according to their religious or moral beliefs regarding marriage, family, and sexuality.

I am asking that you contact Governor Schwarzenegger immediately and ask him to veto SB 1437 as he promised.   Please call his automated opinion tracking system by calling (916)-445-2841 and pressing the number 2.  Please ask your family members, friends, and neighbors to do this as well -  this is a critical moment.
